About Life with Dogz
* I'm Alyson Barker Korman and I've had dogs my entire life. I currently have 6 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 husband. I have a BA from Denison University in Economics and Communications and an MBA from Penn State University in Marketing. After 15 years of working in corporate America for Fortune 500 companies I came to a mid-life cross roads and decided to to follow my heart instead of my wallet. I am so blessed to be successful doing something I truly love. I make a difference in dog's and owner's quality of life together.
* For over 19 years Life with Dogz has been serving the Sewickley community exclusively, offering Premium Personalized Petcare Services that fit each dog and owner's lifestyle. I offer individual training, playgroups, walking & sitting.
* My company is locally owned and operated. I may be the neighbor you have known all of your life. I grew up and went to school in Sewickley. You'll see me at the grocery store, at church, at the movie theater, in a local restaurant, at the YMCA , or Edgeworth Club. I am bonded, insured, and certified in Canine First Aid and CPR so your dog, home and possessions are safe with me.
* I am the only dog walker/ sitter in Sewickley who is also a Certified Dog Trainer.
* Training focuses on general obedience & behavior modification. I can easily and quickly help with creating good manners for everyday situations so that your dog becomes a well-behaved member of your family. Common situations I work with: walking nicely on a leash; not jumping on people, counters or furniture; sitting calmly when the doorbell rings; running out the door; riding in the car, etc. One on one training is done in and around your home or your neighborhood where is it most relevant to you and your dog. You also have the option of training in other locations.
* Playgroups focus on improving dog's behavior, obedience and socialization skills all in a fun and engaging environment. An application, behavior assessment and health records are required prior to admission. All dogs must be up to date on vaccines and either neutered or spayed. Dogs with dominance, aggression or possession issues are not permitted in group sessions. Owners can feel confident that their dogs are in a safe environment.
